Why follow one chain instead of a sector

Markets, policy, science and capital only make sense once you pick a bottleneck and walk it. This is how the rabbit hole is supposed to work.

A sector page is a filing cabinet. A chain is a story you can check.

Pick one constraint — a scanner, a steel, a licence. Then ask, in order:

  1. What is it, in a sentence a non-specialist can hold.
  2. Who makes it, and which of those rows is sourced.
  3. Which rules speed it up or slow it down, and who asked for them in public.
  4. What science would remove it, and how far off that is.
  5. Whether money is actually the thing that is scarce.

Those are the Markets, Policy, Science and Capital pages. They are not alternative homepages. They are the next rooms once you have a bottleneck in hand.

If a room is empty, that is a research gap, not a missing menu. Use Know something, or want us to look? on the page. The inbox is private. Nothing publishes until a reviewer reads a source.
